Michelle Fields-Wilson, the founder of Smiling Hearts, will attend as a special guest and will hold an information session to build awareness of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) among campers and coaches. "It is important for our youth to have an opportunity to participate in sports activities, which help them stay fit, build confidence, and teaches valuable principles such as teamwork," Wilson said. "However, SCA is the leading cause of sudden death in young athletes during sports. Just as sports concussion policies protect the head, we want to arm our community with the knowledge to help protect the heart."
