NH has redesigned the entry level referee training to align with the goals and directions of the US Soccer Referee Program.
Entry Level Referee class graduates will be certified as "Grade 8" referees and will be certified to officiate youth soccer games under the affiliation of US Soccer. Please note this is most of the soccer in NH with the exception of High School and Middle School soccer.
The new class consists of three components:
  1. eLearning, or on line component. The referee is required to complete the eLearning section PRIOR to attending the class session. This can be done at your own pace as long as you complete it prior to the date of the class session.  Time to complete is approximately 2 hours.
  2. 5 hour classroom session designed to reinforce and expand on the on line portion.
    1. We STRONGLY REQUEST a parent or guardian of any youth referee attend the first approximately 30-45 minutes of this session as we will discuss annual certification and training requirements and the support provided by the State Referee Committee
  3. 3 hour field session, comprised of three parts
    1. Please dress accordingly as there will be running involved. This IS AN ACTIVE SESSION, running and active participation in on field drills and games is required.
Registration is via an on-line system, details for creating an account can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
