The Pinal County Next Generation Stem Leader Program gives science teachers a unique opportunity to
become better teachers and evolve into STEM Science Leaders in Pinal County. It is generously sponsored through the Helios Education Foundation and the Arizona Rural Education Alliance.
NGSL Science Mission:
Our mission is to provide an academically integrated environment that engages and empowers students in applying critical thinking and problems solving skills to achieve their potential within the global community.
What is Effective STEM Education?
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Education is project based integration of multiple disciplines through student engagement in relevant problem solving with the application of critical thinking. This includes parental involvement, assessments, language arts and other disciplines, as well as 21st Century Skills.

This website is designed to support NGSL Science Teachers as well as all Pinal County Science Teachers.

  • Web Design Class Offered in January.
I would like to let you all know that we are having our second Web Design class for all participants who did not attend the October 1, 2011 offering and still need to set up a website. Remember, having your individual website up and running is a requirement for all NGSL participants. We will be having the training on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Florence at the Bailey Street facility. Since this is the second one it is open to all the county as well. I will reserve spots for our participants that need it, on a first come first serve basis. Please RSVP  by Friday, January 20th. There will be approximately 10 spots available so RSVP as soon as possible so I can register you.

Close to 500 of Helios' partners and other business and community leaders gathered at the Foundation's community breakfast in Arizona and Florida in September to celebrate the partnerships created, the lives enriched and the over $100 million invested in education since 2006.
