The National Gypsy Moth Management Board invites you to attend the 2014 Annual Gypsy Moth Review to be held in Louisville, Kentucky! The conference will be from Tuesday, November 4th through Thursday, November 6th at The Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville.
The Review provides Agency Updates, Gypsy Moth Research, Aerial Spray Updates and Information, Pesticide Updates and Information, and Regulatory Updates. This year’s meeting will also highlight a European perspective of gypsy moth management with emphasis in the Balkan region, where the gypsy moth continues to be a serious pest.
We will also have the ever popular state reports, where each state and province gets a few minutes to showcase their activities and approach to gypsy moth management (a lot of knowledge is gained from these reports!). This year’s Review will also have a session on non-gypsy moth invasives such as the emerald ash borer, thousand cankers disease, Asian longhorned beetle, spotted wing drosophila and the brown marmorated stink bug. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Luke Dodd of Eastern Kentucky University, who will give a presentation on bats and forest insects, and how white nose syndrome may indirectly affect forest defoliators and other insects.
Plan to join us in the evenings for a relaxed visit at our hospitality suite, an evening dinner and awards banquet, and a tour of the nearby Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. This way we can really get to know each other and as you know this is where some real business gets done!
We encourage you, your co-workers, your supervisors, staff, and anyone else you think would benefit from this Review to attend (forward them this email!). I have attached a DRAFT agenda for you but you can find this, hotel reservation information, meeting registration information, and more at our National Gypsy Moth Management Board website, and if you are on Facebook, you can LIKE us on Facebook for updates. If you are not on Facebook we offer RSS feeds that can come to your email!

At this time, the FormStack and PayPal issue has been resolved so that there should not be any issues with registering for the upcoming 2012 AGMR in Portland, OR. It was giving troubles to those registering from outside the US.
Please Note: We recognize the oversight on our online forms that keep our Canadian colleagues from currently using the online registration. We are working with Form Stack and Paypal to resolve the issues. We are told that it will take a few days to get the bugs worked out. Look for it to be resolved sometime next week (that's what we have been told). Sorry for the inconvenience.
