Coverage of the Grand Prix of Houston begins Friday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with qualifying. Race 1 of the Grand Prix of Houston will air live Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by Race 2 of the doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage of Firestone Indy Lights Houston, IndyCar’s developmental series, will air at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday following Race 2 of the Grand Prix of Houston.

The weekend’s two IndyCar Series races, both of which will be nationally televised, are scheduled for Saturday starting around 1:40 p.m. and Sunday beginning at roughly 12:40 p.m. Houston is one of three cities this season, along with Toronto and Detroit, to have been awarded a double-header. With just one race left after Houston — next weekend in Fontana, Calif. — three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves, currently the points leader, could all but wrap up a championship with a strong showing in the Bayou City.

Helio Castroneves (Penske) leads Scott Dixon (Target Chip Ganassi) by 49 points in the IZOD IndyCar Series points standings with just three races remaining on the schedule. IndyCar returns to Houston this week for the first time since 2007, when Sebastien Bourdais (Dragon) took the checkered flag.

NBCSN’s live comprehensive coverage of Formula One’s Korean Grand Prix begins Friday at 1 a.m. ET with practice, followed by qualifying on Saturday at 1 a.m. ET. Live race coverage of the Korean Grand Prix begins on Sunday at 1:30 a.m. ET. F1 Extra, NBC Sports Group’s half-hour post-race show, will air immediately following the conclusion of the Korean Grand Prix on Sunday. NBCSN will also air an encore presentation of the Korean Grand Prix on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
