Small Business Saturday has always meant something special here in Stoughton. It’s a day when neighbors choose to support the local shops that make our town feel like home. For us at The Next Generation, it’s also a reminder of how far we’ve come together since opening our doors in 1986.
For nearly 40 years, Stoughton families have trusted The Next Generation for quality children’s clothing, women’s consignment, and toys that spark joy — all at prices that help stretch a family’s budget. We’re proud to be part of this community and honored to watch generations grow along with us.
Today, our little shop has grown into an award-winning destination for children’s resale, women’s consignment, and new toys and gifts — honored as Favorite Consignment Shop and Best Children's Boutique in Madison.com’s People’s Choice Awards. And none of it would have happened without the families who’ve supported us year after year.
Our story is your story — and Small Business Saturday is our day to celebrate it together.
How It Works:
Make any purchase on Small Business Saturday.
Write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt.
Turn in your receipt at the register.
At the end of the day, we’ll draw one lucky receipt. The winner will receive store credit equal to the amount of their purchase — valid for a future purchase at The Next Generation!
It’s our way of saying thank you — for shopping small, supporting local businesses, and allowing us to be a part of Stoughton’s story for nearly 40 years.
When you choose to shop small, you’re doing more than just buying something — you’re investing in your community. Local businesses like The Next Generation create jobs, support other local services, and keep dollars circulating right here in Stoughton. Every purchase helps strengthen our downtown, fund local schools and events, and maintain the character that makes our town feel like home.
And the impact doesn’t stop with us. Local businesses often source from other local vendors, partner with community organizations, and support local events and charities. By choosing small, you’re multiplying the effect of your purchase across the neighborhood, helping Stoughton thrive in ways that big-box stores can’t.
Small decisions truly make a big difference. Each time you shop at The Next Generation, you’re supporting local jobs, keeping Main Street vibrant, and helping a community you care about flourish. That’s the power of shopping small — and it’s why Small Business Saturday matters.
