Sorry - All remaining performances of Doubt are sold out

Did he or didn't he?

John Patrick Shanley's Doubt: A Parable is an amazing piece of work.  It started off-Broadway, moved to Broadway for 525 show run, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, was turned into a feature film starring Meryl Streep, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis.  All four were nominated for Oscars for their performances.

"a blunt and blazing moral thriller"

"A play this thoughtful, this well-crafted, this passionate is hard to ignore and even harder to resist."

“A superb new drama written. It is an inspired study in moral uncertainty with the compelling structure of an old-fashioned detective drama. One of the year’s ten best"

"a theatrical experience it would be sinful to miss."

The Newton Nomadic Theater is thrilled to be presenting this compelling show with our own amazing cast.  Newton Nomadic regulars already know Linda Goetz (Faith Healer, Beauty Queen of Leenane, A Picasso).  She's joined by three great Nomadic newcomers - Sarah Morrisette,  Matt Winberg, and Ramona Lisa Alexander.  Once again Billy Meleady (Turn of The Screw, Molly Sweeney, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me) is in the director's seat.

Jan 27 - Feb 19 only.  Get your tickets early for this one!.  Our last show sold out the whole last half of its run and this show is only running for four weekends rather than our normal five

Join us in an art studio, a barn, a library, a living room, a rug store, or a pub to see some of the best and most intimate theater that can be found anywhere in the greater Boston area.

Here are a few comments from the opening weekend's audience

An exquisitely plotted story of suspicion— did he do it? Wherever you come firmly down with a ‘yes’, you pull a thread in the storyline and your certainty unravels. I haven’t had a theater experience like this since – ah — my last livingroom experience with the Newton Nomadic Theater. I was able to walk to the venue from my house!

We loved the performance of Doubt by the Newton Nomadic Theater. We can’t believe this artistic gem has been right under our noses and we’ve been missing it. It won’t happen again and we can’t wait for the next show!

My husband and I attended opening night of The Newton Nomadic Theatre’s latest play, Doubt: A Parable and highly recommend it! Do not miss this riveting and thought provoking performance!

"The idea that one can enjoy quality theatre in non-traditional settings is brilliant!  Having watched the dress rehearsal of Doubt and being so impressed by the story and acting, I've already bought tickets to see it again with a friend."
