keep it simple, travel light, and move from place to place.
The Newton Nomadic Theater is a new theater company dedicated to producing simply staged, high quality theater in interesting and unconventional theater spaces in and around Newton.
Our theater is closed down for the summer.  Our next production will open in late September and will run for five weeks at various venues in and around Newton - details soon!

These fabulous nights of community story-telling are inspired by the Moth Radio Hour.  Anyone can throw their name in the hat and tell a five minute, true story connected to the theme of the night.   Come and tell a story or just come to listen to these amazing stories from friends and neighbors - some are funny, some are serious, some are heartwarming and nearly all are wonderful.

The next Nomad Story Slam will be a special outside FREE event at the Hyde Bandstand in Newton Highlands on Sunday Sept 10 at 7 PM.   The theme for the night's stories is "out of the blue", so get to work on those stories now!.

The Newton Nomadic Theater is a proud recipient of a 2014 grant from the Newton Cultural Council as well as a 2015 grant from the Newton Festival of the Arts.  We're immensely grateful for both.

Our programs are supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
