Live theater returns to Newton!

On Sat Sept 12, Sun Sept 13 the Newton Nomadic Theater will be presenting four performances of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot - Covid 19 Edition featuring some of our favorite actors (Noni Lewis and Linda Goetz) and a Newton Nomadic newcomer (Tommy North) directed by Nicole Galland (Colder Than Here, The Revolutionists).

This unconventional production is an abridged, Covid-19 aware, hour long, outside version of this well known theater classic.  You'd be hard pressed to come up with a more suitable play for these very very strange times we're living in.

Time to get off the couch and come out for Couch to the first post-lockdown, live music concert - drive-in style.  Where?  It's a secret.

On Saturday June 13, the Newton Nomadic Theater brought live music back to Newton with the Secret Drive-In Concert.  Four pickup trucks, one great band and 100 cars in the audience.

A banjo playing wolf put a bug in our brains and out came the Lunatic Talent Jamboree

On Saturday, April 18, 7:30 PM we recruited all kinds of wonderful, weird and wacky talent for an hour long, on-line, live gonzo variety show streamed to Facebook Live.  We took some fabulous talent and some total lunacy, put it all in a big blender to create the Lunatic Talent Jamboree..

Making it up as we go along - Last week's live stream of Love Letters was full of technical hiccups.  The live video stream didn't go where it should have, most of our audience couldn't find it, those that did saw an odd version that featured a third random "actor" for the first 10 or 15 minutes.  We are immensely sorry for those who couldn't find it and were disappointed.

The good news?  Here's a clean version, minus the third "actor".  Enjoy!

Thank you Paula Plum and Richard Snee for a great night of live theater.

Our recent Poem's on a Sunday Night was a wonderful event. Twenty great actors reciting your favorite poems - you can watch it here.

Our recent on-line Nomad Story Slam-COVID-19 Edition was a wacky blast of a night.  Said one viewer "it was a surreal variety show - like Monty Python crossed with Lawrence Welk".

Here's a video recording
