About Us

New Milton Sands WI was formed in 2010 and is a vibrant rapidly growing local branch of the Hampshire County Federation of Women’s Institutes that meets in the evening to suit those who cannot attend daytime meetings.

Events include talks by interesting and entertaining speakers, demonstrations and workshops on subjects such as digital photography and gardening, theatre trips and visits to places of interest.

There are also an expanding number of interest groups (including the Book Club, Sew, Knit & Natter, Dining Club, and Walking) that meet to pursue activities outside of the regular monthly meetings.

Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Common Room at the New Milton Memorial Centre, Whitefield Road, New Milton, BH25 6DE  (click here for map).    Meetings start at 7.30pm (unless otherwise noted in the Events diary).

Currently we have over 100 members, but unfortunately, as a consequence of our popularity, we have had to suspend new memberships until such time as we have any vacancies.  Prospective members/visitors are welcome to attend three meetings a year, (first visit is free and the two subsequent visits allowed are £3.50).

Membership fees are £41.00 per annum for 2018.

For membership and other enquiries please goto the Contact Us page and complete the online enquiry form.
