Students entering math in the fall are expected to recall mathematics skills taught in their previous math classes. To review these basic concepts prior to beginning your math course for 2015-2016, the mathematics department has prepared the following review packets. For each skill, the packets contain several examples and/or links to online tutorials, followed by practice problems for you to complete.
If you are entering Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Elements of Geometry, Geometry, Geometry Honors, Intro to College Algebra, Algebra 2 or Algebra 2 Honors, you will be using the ASSISTMENTS website. Please download the Assistments Directions on the bottom of this page and create your account if you have not done so already.
All other classes not listed above will have a written packet to complete.
Click on the sub-page, Summer Math Packet Downloads, to find your specific packet for your class.
Since this material is a review, you are responsible for completing the work on the assignments on your own. If you need assistance, go to the web links provided for instruction.
This packet will be collected, and graded by your teacher to evaluate your efforts to recall this information, on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8, 2015. If you are using ASSISTMENTS, your teacher will have online access to your progress. It also must be completed by the first day of school. If you do not hand in your assignment ON TIME, you WILL RECEIVE A GRADE OF 0 FOR THE ASSIGNMENT. You MUST show work (where appropriate) to receive full credit. In addition to the packet grade, an in-class Assessment covering the material in the packets will be given in class. There will be opportunities for extra help available before the assessment is given.
