• Enhance the environment in which people shop, live and work in the central business district

• Demonstrate private commitment to the central business through physical economic and social improvements

• Work with the government of the city to maximize the usefulness of available public funds by consolidating and coordinating private efforts to assist the city's downtown revitalization program

• Maintain physical, economical and social improvements to the central business district through a long-term operations strategy allocating organizational and financial responsibility

CCD is funded by a small increase in property taxes paid by all property owners in the district. This special tax is collected by the City and paid to CCD annually. The budget is recommended by the board of trustees and approved by the membership at the annual meeting held in the spring of each year.
