Recap of the October 2012 Event
17 student teams from public and private middle and high schools in Wasco, Sherman, Hood River, Klickitat, and Skamania counties went wheel-to-wheel along the 5-block-long course on Court Street in handcrafted soap box derby cars powered only by gravity!

Each car was designed and constructed by the students using their science, math and engineering skills. They’ll put them to the test on one of the coolest race courses around!

FREE STEM FAIR! Info about careers in science, technology, engineering and math!
The crowd enjoyed the free all-day STEM Fair on 4th and Court Streets and  demonstrations from:
  • Insitu
  • OSU Robotics Club
  • Techstart Foundation
