I. To help raise issues and to aid in asking better interpretive questions.


II. To gain lexical, grammatical, and syntactical insights from the original languages.


III. To provide a listing of a variety of possible interpretations for a particular verse, passage, or interpretive issue.


IV. To provide the rationale and support for the author’s favored interpretation of the verse, passage or interpretive issue.


V. To provide rationale for a particular application of a culturally relative passage.


VI. To provide devotional insights as to possible applications of the passage under study.
