ABOUT US

The New Buffalo Rod and Gun Club is located in the harbor country of Michigan.  The club was established in 1937 and hosts many activities for its members and guests.  The activities include IDPA matches, trap, and 3D archery.

NBRGC affiliated with the IDPA in 2002 and runs an active IDPA program with matches scheduled 12 months a year, weather permitting.  In addition to the monthly matches, the club holds periodic back up gun, and classifier matches.

Facilities include 6 shooting bays available for the matches.  Monthly matches normally consist of 5 to 6 courses of fire with a round count of 80 to 100.

We have various props for use in the matches including the only permanent mover in the area, charging target, swingers, drop turners, poppers, clam shells, and drop outs which add to the variety of our matches.  The result is a challenging match that will test the skills of the experience shooter but one that can also be enjoyed by people of all levels of experience.  New shooters are always welcome.

All matches are run according to the rules of the latest IDPA Rulebook.

Matches are scheduled the 3rd Thursday and 4th Saturday of each month.  Set up starts at 0700 Chicago (0800 Michigan) time with the match starting at 0830 Chicago  (0930 Michigan) time or as soon as setup has been completed.  Changes to the starting times for the winter months will be posted on the website.  If it should become necessary to cancel a match for any reason, notice will be posted on the site on Friday evening.

Contact Dan Finnegan, IDPA coordinator, at 708-363-1763 for additional information.

No regular matches scheduled during the winter.  If any matches are added they will be on Practicscore.
