NE's XC - Women 1st, Men 2nd
Posted Nov 9, 2015, 11:18 AM by Yvonne GreenIt was a perfect cross country day at the 2015 USATF New England Cross Country championships.The NBB Women continued their Mayor's Cup success and handily won the Women's team title, with individuals taking team scoring spots two through eight.The NBB Men easily took second place and were close on the heels of the BAA.The Green and Gray are set to gear up for USATF Club Cross Nationals.
Team Podium finishes @2015 Mayor's Cup

The team was led by Keely Maquire and had a strong middle pack of Rebecca Hammond, Kallie Nixon, Jess Minty, Holly Rees, Nikki Long, Erin Dromgoole, and Taylor Bickford all finishing within ten seconds of each other.The Men's NBB placed a strong third, led by Matt Hillard.

Club and Personal Records Highlight Terrier Classic
Posted Feb 2, 2015, 7:21 PM by Chris McCannNBB competed at the the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University this past weekend and the green and gray did not disappoint. The weekend was highlighted by 2 new club records and a slew of personal bests.Kicking things off Friday night, Jillian King won the second heat of the 1000 meters to take 2nd place overall and in doing so, set a new club record with her time of 2:49.10. Also in the 1000, Louise van den Heuvel ran a new personal record of 2:57.52 which was good for 20th place.Other highlights on the night included Melissa Nash (17:10.59) and Erin Dromgoole (17:20.81) taking 16th and 22nd place in the 5k.On Saturday, the men picked up where the women left off. Kevin Cooper took 8 seconds off the 3k club record with his time of 8:02.24 which was good for 7th place in the event. Others setting personal bests on the day included Steve Carnevale (2:28..58) in the 1000, Craig Robinson (4:16.06) and John Drago (4:17.40) in the mile, Chris McCann (8:41.39) in the 3k, and Fran Cusick (15:21.44) in the 5k.Full results can be found on the Race Results page.Next weekend we return to Boston University for the Scarlet and White Invitational.
Great Day at GBTC Invite
Posted Jan 27, 2015, 4:51 PM by Chris McCannMembers of New Balance Boston competed in the GBTC Invite held at the Harvard University this past weekend.Those notching wins for the green and gray were Sydney Fitpatrick (4:55.75) in the Invitational Mile and Caitlin Malloy(3:00.15) in the 1000 meters.Other highlights on the day included Melissa Nash (5:00.47) and Caitlin Fahey (5:02.31) taking 3rd and 4th in the Invitational Mile, James Weider (2:30.32) and Eric Ryan (2:32.43) taking 3rd and 5th in the 1000 meters, and Kevin Cooper (4:07.27) and Matt Hillard (4:15.07) taking 3rd and 5th in the Invitational Mile.Full results can be found on the Race Results PageNext weekend we'll be heading to BU for the Terrier Invite so stay tuned.
