You’re invited to join us this summer as we explore a variety of topics,
inside the library and outside our walls!
Each of the three programs consists of two parts: an inside event,
and a "field trip" outside of the library. Each part is on a separate date.
For the outdoor components of these events, you will need to have your own transportation.

Native Plants & Butterfly Gardening with Mona Rynearson
Inside ~ June 5th, 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Botanist Mona Rynearson will be speaking about butterfly gardening, focusing on native plants.
Outside ~ June 15th, 10 am
Join us for a talk and tour at Lagoon Park in Canandaigua, hosted by the Canandaigua Botanical Society,
and featuring Jim Engle (owner of White Oak Nursery), who will be speaking about native plants.
Zurich Bog Talk and Walk with the Zurich Committee
Inside ~ July 9th, 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Members of the Zurich Committee of Bergen Swamp Preservation Society will be speaking about Zurich Bog,
a local National Natural Landmark and unique bog habitat preserve.
Outside ~ July 13th, 8:30 am
Join us for a tour of Zurich Bog.
Inside ~ August 21st, 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Local canal expert Bill Rider will be speaking about canal history in the community.
Outside ~ August 24th, 1:30 pm
Join us for a canal lock tour, a walk, and a look at the canal artifacts held at the Newark Arcadia Historical Society.
