2010 Training Workshops

MEET MANAGER WORKSHOP
 
12 persons attended a training session for a MEET Manager software program on 18th February, at the Llewellyn Newton Disaster Management Facility at Long Point Nevis. Representatives were present from most Primary Schools and the two High Schools as well as Secretariat personnel for the upcoming Gulf Insurance Primary Schools Championship to be held on 24th March 2010.
 
The Meet Manager software assists in the management of a meet by utilising custom designed sofware to enter results, compare with records, calculate scores, determine class champions and most the outstanding athletes based on points, displays statisical information and much more. The program also interfaces with Finish Lynx, a program that control the Photo-Finish system that does electronic timing and placement. The program also cna upload in real time results to the Internet via a website (ours being www.nevispsc.com )
 
The course covered a number of topics including the program overview and preferences, reporting, adding and editing data, backing up and restoring data, importing and exporting meet information, performance scoring, statistics, printing format & information, records entry, entry and updating of data in different formats.
 
Some Primary and both Secondary schools will be utilising this program at their Sports Days, providing a meet management tool. The program is an essential tool for management of the Gulf Insurance Primary Schools Championship.
 
A previous training session will be held on Wednesday 17 February from 9 am to 12 noon for Hytek TEAM Manager Program.

16 persons attended a training session for a Team Manager software program on 17th February, at the Llewellyn Newton Disaster Management Facility at Long Point Nevis. Representatives were present from most Primary Schools and the two High Schools as well as Secretariat personnel for the upcoming Gulf Insurance Primary Schools Championship to be held on 24th March 2010.
