The site provides you with all the information for the 2009 "mini Olympics" meet including information on the school teams, past results/information & photos,  records, sponsor information, messages, opening activities and much more, including the event start lists when available. Video highlights from 2009 will be added shortly.

The meet featured competition between Charlestown, St. John’s, Ivor Walters (Gingerland), Joycelyn Liburd (Gingerland), Maude Crosse Preparatory School, St. James, St. Thomas and Violet O. J. Nicholls (Combermere) Primary Schools. Two new schools (Bellevue International & Lyn Jeffers) jointly participated for the first time ever.

The meet was broadcasted live (by television and radio). Additionally, "real time" streaming of the meet via the Internet (video & audio) was available, complements of SKNVibes. The broadcast feed was provided with the complements of the Press & Public Relations Department of the Nevis Island Administration, with the support of LIME (Cable & Wireless), Caribbean Cable Communication and the Info-Channel. Near real time information was presented during the meet including results and photos.

The Nevis Island Administration gave a half day to facilitate the massive crowd that attended the meet. The competition is dubbed the "mini Olympics" and is the biggest annual sporting event in Nevis and the Leewards with over 4,000 spectators. Gulf Insurance Limited has been the sponsor for 17 consecutive years with other sponsors playing an integral role in the success of the meet.
