The 2009 Pan American Junior Athletics Championship showcases many of the top international junior athletes, July 31-August 2 in Trinidad and Tobago.

Held at Hasley Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, the Pan Am Junior Athletics Championships are open to athletes age 16 to 19 as of December 31, 2009.

The biennial Pan American Junior Championships were first held in 1980. The women's age group changed from under 19 to under 20 (to correspond with the men's age group) in 1989.

Venues: 1980 Sudbury (CAN), 1982 Barquisimeto (VEN), 1984 Nassau (BAH), 1986 Winter Park (USA), 1989 Santa Fe (ARG), 1991 Kingston (JAM), 1993 Winnipeg (CAN), 1995 Santiago (CHI), 1997 Havana (CUB), 1999 Tampa (USA), 2001 Santa Fe (ARG), 2003 Bridgetown (BAR), 2005 Windsor (CAN), 2007 São Paulo, Brazil.

TEAM St. Kitts - Nevis

The team of athletes is comprised of Marecia Pemberton, Trefessana White, Davanna Claxton, Odina Miller, Tesril Nisbett, Jason Rogers, Lestrod Roland, Kelsick Phillip and Kendale Liburd. The technical staff traveling with the team is comprised of Team Leader Maritza Dias, Head Coach Stewart Joseph and Assistant Coach Llewellyn Pyke.
