Was held at the  Jack C. Davis Observatory at Western      Nevada College  June 29 -July 2, 2009

Mentee Teachers received four days of professional development in GEMS new Space Science Sequence plus all four of the curriculum guides, 2 Nevada re-certification credits, access to GEMS Space Science Sequence kits, a GEMS kit, and assistance from highly qualified secondary science teacher mentors for no less than one year in their classroom.

Mentor Teachers received four days of Space Science professional development, 24 hours of mentor training, GEMS Associate training at Lawrence Hall of Science July 22-24, 2009, access to GEMS Space Science Sequence kits, a GEMS kit, and a choice of stipend or free graduate credits.
