This website has been created as a temporary file viewing option for members of the Nevada Sesquicentennial celebration.
The 150th anniversary of Nevada’s admission to the Union will provide a unique opportunity for celebration and reflection as we come together to commemorate our shared history and build a foundation of cultural appreciation for generations to come. Nevada’s one of a kind and diverse history will be celebrated throughout the state in order to promote pride in the shared heritage of native and non-native Nevadans alike.
The event is also an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of Nevada culture and history, and how it relates to American history and society. The main goal of the yearlong celebration is to instill pride and inspire communities and citizens alike across Nevada to participate and contribute to the sesquicentennial celebration. While parts of Nevada may feel disconnected at times, the sesquicentennial events and projects are going to be aimed at connecting all communities throughout Nevada with the common pride in the shared heritage possessed by all who live and have lived in Nevada.
To that end, the Nevada Sesquicentennial Planning Committee has adopted “Battle Born – Nevada Proud” as the theme for the sesquicentennial.
"Battle Born, Nevada Proud"

Nevada's 150th celebration is a statewide effort that will succeed only with the support and recognition of Nevadans. The celebration of the Sesquicentennial is a state project, however, it is one without state funding. The Planning Committee would like to ask Nevadans across the state to consider donating to the cause to assist in the planning of this important event in Nevada's history. Together, we are "Battle Born, Nevada Proud."
Tax deductible donations may be mailed to:
