This year’s Kristallnacht lecture will take place Sunday, November 12, at 9:00 am, after morning services.  Breakfast will be served.

The speaker will be Sarah Cushman, Director of the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University.  Her talk, "Auschwitz: The Women's Camp," explores the existence, living and working conditions, and interactions among three primary groups of women in Auschwitz - prisoners, functionaries, and guards. This history unfolds in the context of the founding, expansion, and liberation of this camp, which sat under the authority of the larger Auschwitz camp complex, but had its own timeline, personnel, and significance.
