DEGREE TEAM

The goal of the Nelms Degree Team is to present the ancient Masonic degrees to new Masons via allegory, symbols, and historical lessons.  The brethren on the Nelms Degree Team are devoted to helping each new Mason, as well as each other, improve themselves in Freemasonry by putting our best apron forward.

DUES & DONATIONS

   You
can now Pay your dues or make a donation to the Lodge right here on our website. There is only a small processing fee for the convenience of dues-payment; and no fee at all for any donations. Thanks!!
https://sites.google.com/site/nelmslodge323/payments

A note about the donation selection for the Grand Lodge Per Capita tax - this amount is included in your annual dues. However, if you are an Emeritus or Life member, you deservedly do not pay dues any more. This is just a way that you can help the lodge by volunteering to cover the Grand Lodge fixed costs.

GENEROUS DONATION IN MEMORY OF WORSHIPFUL BROTHER GAINES

LANDSCAPING
is now being provided by
Anita Gaines
In memory of her Father and our beloved Brother
1976 PWM George Gaines
We can't thank you enough Anita!

Please take notice of the Nelms Lodge grounds!  Through an exceedingly gracious gift, Anita Gaines (daughter of the late W. Bro. George Gaines) has funded the landscaping of Nelms Lodge as a way to thank the lodge and fraternity that meant so much to her father for 60+ years of his life.  In 2015 Ms. Gaines hired a landscaper to mow, trim, and blow once or twice per month.  In itself, this was a tremendous help to our lodge, but Ms. Gaines did not stop there.  She also had a retaining wall built between our parking lot and CVS, and new flower beds installed in several areas.  We were able to install a gate in 2015 to help protect our property, and jonquil flower beds on either side of the front door (along the front side of the building).  Thanks to her generosity, our lodge now looks better than ever.  A plaque was installed on the new wall in dedication to W. Bro. Gaines via his daughter, Ms. Anita Gaines.  Thank you Ms. Gaines!

GREAT CEREMONY. GREAT CROWD. PROUD OF OUR VETERANS and FIRST RESPONDERS

From the Masonic Messenger

Nelms Lodge No. 323 has Incredible Year

Nelms Lodge No. 323 received the 2015 Lodge of the Year
for District 7C. Thanks to the incredible brethren of Nelms
Lodge, Wor. Bro. Jason Weldon was named Master Mason of the Year for 7C. In 2015, we adopted a mile surrounding our lodge and have conducted quarterly clean-up events to keep the road free of trash and debris, and have received an award from Keep Smyrna Beautiful for our work.

Nelms Lodge has begun a recycling effort. We are also remembering
our Military personnel with a letter writing campaign.

Grand Master: "Those are efforts the entire Masonic
family can be involved in".

FLAG RETIREMENT COLLECTION

Nelms Flag Retirement Box!

The Lodge is providing a convenient collections place for our Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony and for Community Letters to our Troups!

The collection bin is located inside the building, but a plastic red container will remain outside. Anyone who would like to retire their flag can place it in the red container, and it will be retired during our next Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. Any

Questions? Please call Jason Weldon at 678-449-7528.

Proud of our Brothers

Wor Bro T. Leon Roberts

10/10/2018 From Leon - - -

Having 3 broke ribs and having found out that I have cancer sort of took the wind out of my sails. I also had to postpone my hip surgery until I get this cancer took care of. The last couple of months have not been fun at all, and the next two don't look good either. The good news is that my cancer Doctor says that my Lung cancer is curable. I start next Monday with a thing called a Cyber Knife that seems to be, maybe, focussed radiation for 5 days in a row. Then they will check me to see if it is all gone. I sure hope so! Please ask everyone to pray for me and pray for my wife Jane. She needs it too!
--Leon

Wor Bro Jerry Harwitz

10/21/2018  I just got home from the hospital last night. There was blood collecting in my left thigh about the size of a baseball. It is difficult to walk and drive.I will be spending the next 3-4 weeks at home. Will keep you updated.
                                        --Jerry Harwitz

09/03/2018 Wor Brother Jerry Harwitz is gaining strength at home and hopes to attend lodge later this month with the help of his Brothers to get around after dark. Please continue to keep Bro Jerry and his family in your prayers.

08/07/2018 Wor Brother Jerry Harwitz is on the mend and in good spirits. He is being released from the Hospital on Wednesday (08/08) to the rehab center near the Hospital to build his strength back. Unfortunately, he will need to take dialysis 3 days a week for some period of time. We pray that it will not be permanent. He so misses his Brothers and he thanks everyone for our prayers.   --Wor Bro Cabot Rohrer

08/03/2018 Wor Brother Jerry Harwitz is improving and is still in ICU care on the 7th Floor at Kennestone. He thanks you all for your continued prayers during this difficult recovery!
