Women & Children

Senator Pou is very active in causes that help empower women and girls.

Her annual Women's Leadership Breakfast boasts a crowd of 400-500 women and men from throughout the state.

Her annual Women's History Celebration, which occurs every March, honors local women-- often unsung heroes-- for the important roles they play in our community.

For her efforts, Senator Pou has been honored by many groups, including the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and the Northern New Jersey Maternal/Child Health Consortium.

And, as a former member of New Jersey's Task Force Against Child Abuse and Neglect, Pou is similarly committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of New Jersey's children and their prospects for future success.

In this photo, Pou hosts a "Day of Access" for under- and non-insured women to receive mammographies.
