Research Projects

I am interested in three broad areas within the Philosophy of Safety Engineering:

• The causal and explanatory frameworks being deployed in accident investigations.

• The model of what a 'safety argument' should be.

• The nature of justification and evidence used in 'safety cases'.

Together with colleagues from the Cogito research group, I plan to apply for funding to pursue research on these broad topics.
