I am a third-year PhD student at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia, Canada. I have a Master of Arts in Economics from UBC as well as a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) in Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. 

Prior to my current studies at the VSE, I worked as a research officer with the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU) based at the School of Economics, University of Cape Town (South Africa). My research interests include Labour and Development Economics. The majority of my research has involved the use of Southern African household survey data. I am also a passionate teacher and have experience lecturing first year Micro- and Macroeconomics for the University of Cape Town.
