News from the Needham High School PTC
May 10, 2016
Dear NHS Families,

We are excited to announce that Cindy Carson has stepped up to be a new PTC Co-President next year! This year marks Marian's fourth year on the job and her son is also graduating next month, so filling this spot was very important. We are both very grateful for Cindy's enthusiasm and volunteerism. If you were interested in the job but too shy to say so...fear not! There is still time to get involved. Jennifer is completing her 2nd year in the position and would love to share the fun with someone new. Please let us know if you are interested!

This newsletter contains some repeat reminders and a couple of new items. The end of year festivities are just beginning -- stay informed!

Alzheimer's Association!
Needham High School a cappella singers are giving a concert to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, and hope you'll come with friends and family to help them make a difference.

Get your tickets now for the 8th Annual Vocal Support concert on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30pm in the Needham High School auditorium. Sponsored by Needham High School Friends of Music (FOM), the concert features contemporary and classic song favorites performed a cappella by Needham High singing groups - the Subway Dwarves, Treble Rebels and Fermata Nowhere.

FOM and the Needham High singers are thrilled to welcome Sound Off to the stage. An award-winning, semi-professional a cappella group based in Boston, Sound off will perform hits from its diverse repertoire of modern pop with a soulful twist.

Concert proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, a group dedicated to fighting a disease that affects millions - including Needham High School performers' families.

Dr. Schwinden's Retirement Party -- June 1

All Night Party -- Donations Needed

NHS graduation will be on June 6, and the All Night Party Committee and several community groups are in full swing preparing for this annual fun event for NHS graduates. Seniors will safely party all night at Pollard thanks to the efforts of these dedicated folks!

In order to encourage participation, they charge students only $5 for admission to the ANP. The cost of running this party is significant, however, and donations from family and friends of Needham High graduating seniors, local businesses, and of course the NHS PTC are needed to make it happen.
Donations: Click here to make a donation via Paypal:

Or, you can still pay the old fashioned way by making checks payable to NHS-All Night Party and sending them to NHS ANP c/o Stephanie Wallace, 81 Gary Road, Needham, MA 02494. Click here for a donation form.
Raffle Prizes: they could also use gift cards, gift certificates, event tickets, or other items on interest to graduating seniors; please contact Jen Maitre at if you'd like to make a contribution.

MORE details about volunteer opportunities and support will be coming soon!
