Artisans/Crafters:

We received more applications for 10X10 booths than we could accommodate in 2018 and had to ask many to share or downize.  Booth space is limited and subject to Holiday Mountain Market committee discretion to maintain a market of varied items.

Applications are due by the deadline of September 30, 2019. We sent them via mail on September 6 and email September 5 to those who have requested they be on our mailing list.

Please note that our market organizer of several years Serene Karplus has recently left Nederland Area Seniors. This year's market will be coordinated by NAS staff member Omayra Acevedo.

Thank you for your continued interest in our Holiday Mountain Market at the Nederland Community Center in Nederland, Colorado, the first weekend of December each year. As we gear up for this year’s market and put together this much-loved local weekend celebration of the arts and holidays, we look forward to seeing our many friends. Most of our traditions remain the same, but we plan to change a few aspects of our market.

We will continue the new procedure begun two years ago to avoid the rush that was generated in past years by our first-come-first-served policy. We would like to treat people more equally, so that everyone who applies by the September 30 deadline may be considered for the market. Our committee will then build a market based on a variety of factors, including product type, location requests, and the space available to us.

Please think honestly about your true space needs. We do our best to squeeze everyone in, which means that we need to share a lot of our limited 10X10 spaces. Some of us don’t have so much product that we need all that space and sharing allows a wider variety of goods to attract more customers. Preference will be given to those who create inviting displays, instead of just a single flat table display at the front of a larger space.

To help us design a good market layout, it would be helpful to us if you can provide a printed snapshot of your product and display. We recognize that newer and smaller crafters may not have marketing pieces and websites, so we want to make this as simple and easy as we can for you, without a lot of rules. Anything printed you can send with your application, along with a more detailed description of the various items you want to sell and how you would use the requested space will help us.

We also appreciate your consideration of donating a handcrafted item to our Silent Auction. Your donation does not affect our consideration of your application. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
