Pelini

Pelini only has 3 years, will add him after next year.

Callahan only had 4 years at Nebraska, so am using the first 4 years of all the coaches for a comparison.

1 -  Final polls were done before bowls.  Nebraska beat Miami in the Gotham Bowl.  Miami had been ranked #18 in the final coaches poll before bowl game.  The AP only did a top 10 at that time, the coaches did a top 20.  Had there been a post bowl poll, Nebraska almost certainly would have been ranked since they had beaten the #18 team.

Devaney came to NU in 1962, at the time Nebraska was arguably one of the worst football programs in the country.
Osborne and Solich both took over a program that had won multiple National Championships in previous seasons.
Callahan took over after NU had been ranked in the final polls all of the  4 previous seasons, 3 of those in the top 10.
Pelini became head coach after NU had a losing season the previous year and ranked in the final polls only 1 time in Callahans 4 years.
