WE ARE AN INTEL INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR (ISEF) AFFILATE  
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE PROPER ISEF FORMS.
 
 
 
These forms may be obtained at the www.ncsciencefair.org  
 
Registration of schools and Student participants will all take place at the official site (http://ncsefreg5.sfiab.com/). To register for any of these positions, please follow the login link at the left. This link will send you to a menu for each level to login. An operable E-Mail address is required for registration.Duplicate emails are not allowed in the system. Only students that have been selected to move to the Regional Fair should register. Registartion password will be given by district`s science fair coordinator. If your district does not host a Science fair please contact Director Mr. Kandil via email (fkandil@tmsacharter.org) or phone (336 621 00 61). 

Fair volunteers and judges can register from this website under the call for judges link. 

If a student does NOT have a prequalifing fair, the student must have a teacher from their school to sponsor and register them.
 

Divisions and Categories

Divisions

Elementary – Grades 3-5
Junior — Grades 6-8 
Senior – Grades 9-12

Elementary Categories
Projects are not divided into categories. Elementary Projects will be judged with outstanding projects receiving an "Exemplary Project" plaque. Elementary projects can have from one to three students per projects. A maximum of eight projects from each of the eight regional fairs may be entered at the elementary level from grades 3 through 5.

Junior and Senior Categories
Categories are:

  • Earth/Environmental Science,
  • Physics and Mathematics
  • Technology
  • Engineering.

From one to three students can work on a single project. Each Regional Fair can nominate two entries from each of the six categories for the state level NC Science and Engineering Fair.

Great care should be taken in selecting the category for competition that best matches the project. Students must register online using a unique email address (no duplicate emails allowed for registration) and registration password which was provided by Region 5 District`s Science Fair coordinator. If your school District does not host a Science fair please contact with us via email fkandil@tmsacharter.org) or call Director Mr. Kandil  

Team projects should be registered under one team member`s name.

  • Students will be emailed their registration number to use to complete their online registration after beginning the registration process.
  • After completing the online steps for registration, students must print out the participant registration pdf form that is created, obtain the required signatures, and mail the following items to complete registration!  Students will be notified after we receive these items and again after SRC approval to participate in the Fair.

o   All required ISEF FORMS (1, 1A, 1B, Research Plan, and Abstract at a minimum – additional special forms may be required),

o  THE PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION FORM CREATED FROM THIS SITE DURING REGISTRATION,

o   AND YOUR REGISTRATION FEE OF $25 PER PROJECT (for individuals who does not have qualifying Fair in the district. Please contact for details) must be received by Feb 8, 2016

 WINNERS from the Region 5 fair are qualified to compete at the state science and engineering fair on    April 1-2, 2016 at Meredith College, Raleigh, N.C.
