The Long Island Center for Independent Living Inc. is a not-for-profit, non-residential advocacy center that serves people with disabilities and their families. The center has been serving Nassau County residents since the 1980s. Their mission is to promote empowerment through education, information and rallying behind issues that directly impact the daily lives of people with disabilities. LICIL serves people of all ages effectively with any disabilities whether it is lifelong or short term. LICIL is one of 41 centers operating in New York State and is governed by a board of directors, which includes a minimum of 51 percent of persons with disabilities. *CEUs will be awarded for attending this program.  Registration is free for Library students, N.C.L.A, and S.C.L.A members.  All other registrants pay $10.00 (Check or Money Order only, made payable to N.C.L.A).  If paying for registration, please print the program flyer (see link below), fill out the bottom portion, and return along with payment to:
