Welcome to the NCHS Music Department - Home of the Marching Governors!

Upcoming Fundraisers

We will have various Krispy Kreme Doughnut sales throughout the year...stay tuned for dates for 2015 - 2016
Once again profits from this sale from band students will help pay for buses to Princeton and $1.00 profit from each box sold will go toward band fees.

Concessions for football games

We need help this year running the concession stand at the six home football games. There will be a sign up sheet at parents’ night. There will be an incentive if you work the concessions more than once towards the Florida trip.

It would also be good if the parents who are going to help with Pit could meet with Conner if possible that morning so that we can get a lesson on how to hook up the equipment and where it goes since we haven't had an outside competition yet.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE I need at least 6 chaperones (2 per bus). All Chaperones must have turned in a Nelson County Schools Volunteer/Chaperone Application. Please let me know if you plan to chaperone. Nelson County School Employees do not have to have a volunteer application on file.

Chaperones are asked to please help with unloading the equipment and supervising students.  Should a student feel the need to visit the buses or leave the stadium for any reason, they should be accompanied by a chaperone.

NOTES:  I suggest checking the JMU band website for a full schedule of AAA, AAAA, and AAAAA bands that perform in the afternoon and well into the evening.  There will be bands from multiple states and incredible shows.  We are leaving after the A/AA awards due to the length of our day.  Parents that want to pick up students at the awards ceremony at JMU to stay a little longer are certainly welcome to do so.
