You can cast your Democratic primary ballot March 3-12.

Where? There are four early vote sites:
Board of Elections office, 410 W. Franklin Blvd, Gastonia              map
Main Library, 1555 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia                                 map
Citizens Resource Center, 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy, Dallas    map
Mt Holly Citizens Center, 400 E. Central Ave., Mt Holly                map

All sites are open 10 am to 7 pm weekdays. The elections office is open from 8 am to 7 pm weekdays.

All sites are open 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday, March 5, and from am to 1 pm on March 12

Who? There are eight contests on the Gaston Democratic ballot. (Listed here in alphabetical order)

President: Hilary Clinton, Roque Rocky De La Fuente, Martin J. O'Malley, Bernie Sanders
(Candidates who have dropped out are still listed or you may choose No Preference)
US senator: Kevin Griffin, Earnest Reeves, Chris Rey, Deborah Ross
  Governor: Roy Cooper, Kenneth Spaulding,
Lt. Governor: Linda Coleman, Holly Jones, Ronald Newton, Robert Wilson
Attorney General: Josh Stein, Marcus Williams
Labor Commissioner: Mazie Ferguson, Charles Meeker
School Superintendent: June Atkinson, Henry Pankey
Treasurer: Dan Blue III, Ron Elmer

If you don’t have a photo ID, you will be able to cast a provisional ballot, which may or may not
be counted, depending upon a judgment call from the board of elections after the election. There will be a help station to help those
without proper ID. You can avoid this problem by voting an absentee ballot by mail. Look on the Board of Elections website for an absentee ballot application.  The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is March 8.

You can still register and vote on the same day during early voting, but not on Election Day.
