Doug Newton coordinates the Prayer Initiative for the FMCUSA.  Having lived a powerful, effective life of prayer, Doug and his wife Margie, have written, taught and modeled extensively on the power of prayer.

Supt. Mark has noticed that while many of our church leaders are committed to prayer, many are not.  Churches that are growing are not powered by strategy and planning, but by the Spirit of God engaged through humble hearts actively yearning for more of God through prayer.  Therefore, Supt. Mark invited Rev. Newton to visit the NCC this year and serve as resource person for rekindling within the NCC an absolute love for prayer, encouraging our leaders to be radically devoted to prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit being unleashed in our midst.   .

  • Annual Conference is right around the corner!

Be sure to register via skylodge.org soon.

Annual Conference format will be different this year.  On Friday morning we will endeavor to accomplish to the majority of our voting tasks and work, and during this time we will maintain the "bar" of the conference.  Those with voice and vote are welcome to be part of the bar.  However, after lunch on Friday, the "bar" will be dismantled and replaced by flexible group seating.  The majority of Annual Conference will be interspersed with multiple opportunities to pray in multiple ways for one another, the ministries of the churches and of the global Free Methodist movement.

    Be praying now!
