A1 (Great North Road)

This is the former south-bound A1, now (since the construction of the adjacent A1(M) motorway), a rural two-way road connecting the village of Haddon to Norman Cross, and part of the National Cycle Network Route 12.
In the proposal, there will be six connections* into residential Great Haddon from this road, and non-HGV traffic from the employment area will use this road. It will also connect via the employment area to Junction 1 of the Fletton Parkway.
[* later plans changed this to two connections]
