Welcome to the NBS Music & Drama Homepage!

Dear Bowditch Families,

It is with bittersweet emotions that I am writing to you to announce that I have accepted a new position within the Salem Public Schools for the upcoming year. I will be moving down the street to teach music at the Collins Middle School. While I am extremely excited about a new chapter in my teaching career, I would never deny that it comes along with some equally sentimental emotions about leaving a school and community that I care so deeply about.

I met with Dr. Even yesterday to discuss the future of the drama club. As you know, this program is not only a very important part of the culture at Bowditch, but one which I am very proud to have had the opportunity to lead for the past 10 years. Together, we've built a program that far exceeded any of my expectations when we first started. Dr. Even and I had an in depth discussion centered around making sure that the drama program continues once a new leader is identified and I want to assure you that I am fully committed to doing whatever I can to help with the transition to a new director this coming year.

As I reflect on how proud I am of our students and how much they have grown over the years, I am so grateful for all of their contributions towards pushing me to be a better educator and for the wonderful relationships we've forged. I know that because of my experiences at Bowditch, I will be prepared to hit the ground running in the fall.

Thank you so much again for your continued support of everything musical and theatrical at Bowditch. It has been an honor and a pleasure to be a part of your children's lives and education and I am eagerly looking forward to continuing to serve Salem students and their families in my new role.

I hope you enjoy a wonderful rest of your summer!

All the best,

Mr. C.
