04/04/2020- We regret to inform you of the passing of Susan Cicala

Governor Phil Murphy on Twitter: "Susan Cicala was a registered ...- Sue was born and raised in North Arlington and joined NAVES in the early 80’s and became and active riding member and EMT, Sue then became a Paramedic and then a registered nurse, Sue worked as a Nurse at west Hudson hospital until it closed and then she transferred over to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville and worked for the New Jersey State Department of corrections as a Nurse in North State Prison. In mid March Sue became ill and was hospitalized and tested positive for Covid 19, she passed away Saturday 4/4/2020. Sue dedicated her life to helping others as an EMT, Paramedic and Nurse. She gave her life in service to others, She was recognized in Governor Phil Murphy's daily press conference on Monday of this week for her nearly 40 years service in healthcare. Our deepest condolences to her family, her son Steven is also a former NAVES EMT member and former Operations Lieutenant of the Squad, now a Paramedic and NJ state EMS task force planner.  Sue’s name will be added to our deceased members memorial that is in front of our building once things start to normalize, we will have a celebration of her life and dedication ceremony.

First Day new equipment was placed on the ambulance the crew had a CPR save on the new equipment.
