Welcome to NAVES North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad

We are in need of riding members, consider joining, it's a worth while experience that may change the rest of your life!

NAVES is dedicated to “Serving the Community”.  In a coordinated effort with the Police and Fire Departments our members have been trained to handle all your emergency needs.

Hopefully you will never require our services but feel free to stop by our building located at 575 Schuyler Avenue. Members are always needed even if you are not a resident of North Arlington . So if you’re interested, drop by or give us a call at (201) 991-3307 to get information about becoming a member.

We will supply you with all the information necessary to become fully trained, so you too can participate in  "Serving the Community”. We also have an Auxiliary Squad for those not interested in participating in the Emergency Services, but want to volunteer your time in another way.

Thank you for visiting

Welcome From Captain Christopher Imbrenda

Welcome to NAVES - North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad. Established in 1972 members of NAVES having been serving the community for 44 years, Last year alone our 50 members volunteered over 18,000 hours on the ambulance, combined with class and education, training, drills, standby's, meetings and community and fundraising events. We answered over 2,360 calls for service in 2015 in North Arlington as well as mutual aide to our neighboring communities of Lyndhurst, Kearny, Rutherford, Belleville, East Newark, Harrison and Nutley. Our members come from all walks of life and our surrounding communities as well, It's easy to join, click on files and fill out an application and call one of the individuals listed on the membership committee page to drop off your application and schedule and interview. Not sure if this is for you? We offer ride along's to individuals who are interested in joining, this could also be found under the files section of our website. Were also looking for auxiliary members to help out at our events if you feel like riding the ambulance is not to your liking but still want to help out. I hope you make the decision to join, I found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Thanks and I look forwarded to meeting all prospective members soon. Captain Chris Imbrenda
