About The Conference
The 8th Stipa Native Grasses Association conference is to be held in Murray Bridge on the 5th to 7th November 2013.

This conference will be a combination of scientific knowledge and practical demonstrations that will allow you to go home and immediately start regenerating perennial grasslands on your farm or property. You will learn how to assess if profitable regeneration of native grasses will suit your farm.

The combination of speakers will put in context the incredible importance of fully functioning native grasslands to provide food and biodiversity benefits. The field walk will ensure that you will never be able to walk across the land without noticing the state of the ecosystem function, as well as simple corrective actions to restore the health of your property.

This conference will provide you with the skills and knowledge to:

·         Lower your farming risk.

·         Keep more money over time in your business.

·         Increase biodiversity on your farm.

·         Improve your soil health

·         Determine what regeneration technique will work for you.

On Friday, 8th November (optional), the Stipa conference will move to touring vineyards that have shifted to using native grasses in the inter-rows. The associated soil & vine health will be discussed in detail. Each of the sites visited will build on the experience of vineyard managers who have adopted this management practice and the benefits they are seeing in reduced costs and workload. In-depth discussion of how to establish native grasses such as Wallaby grass (Austrodanthonia) will be a feature of the day
