2016-2017 LD Resolution

37 schools voted using the online voting system, excellent turnout.  The full results are below:

5th place (98 points) - D. Resolved: the United States Federal Government should increase technical assistance for the substantial reduction of fossil fuel emissions in Brazil.

4th place (109 points) - A. Resolved: the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its “Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance” assistance to Latin America.

3rd place (112 points) - C. Resolved: the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its diplomatic engagement with Chile and/or Bolivia.

2nd place (113 points) - E. Resolved: the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its constructive engagement with one or more of the following nations: Bolivia, Nicaragua, and/or Venezuela.

1st place (123 points) - B. Resolved: the United States Federal Government should substantially reduce the role of the United States Southern Command in Latin America.
