Raising of the roof beams

posted Sep 6, 2010, 12:51 PM by A Standish   [ updated Sep 23, 2010, 11:55 PM ]

A very interesting excavation was undertaken to recover and raise the roof beams, that were discovered in the 2010 dig earlier this year.

A very interesting pictorial record has been posted on the whitehall site. It's a very good record of the days work. Well worth a visit.

A video of the event can now be found on you tube

Well done CLASP

I have been told today that CLASP have been awarded £500 towards the cost of the magnetometer by the Robert Kiln Charitable Trust. This is a charitable trust founded by the late Robert Kiln, a Lloyds underwriter who had a philanthropic attitude to archaeology.
This leaves CLASP another £2500 to raise as quickly as possible, CLASP do have another couple of leads which will be pursued but as was said in a recent circulation, any donations and or leads to other sources would be appreciated.
NARC congratulates all involved in achieving this award. Well done everyone.
