2nd Annual NanoWorcester Symposium

@ Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI)

 

The second NanoWorcester Symposium in 2012, held at WPI attracted 102 participants from central New England. It was a friendly and enjoyable event, focused on nanoscience, nanotechnology, and nanomedicine.

 

It featured a student "elevator-speech" and poster competition in the afternoon, after a morning of talks by invited speakers from central New England and farther afield.

 

The speakers, their affiliations, and their topic areas were:

Evelyn Kurt-Jones, UMass Medical Center, Immunology and Nanoparticles.

Gerard D'Souza, MCPHS Boston, Organelle-Targeted Intracellular Delivery.

Julie Chen, UMass Lowell, Nanoscale Composites.

Thomas Vogt, USC Chemistry and Biochemistry, Imaging at the Nanoscale.

Heinrich Hoerber, UBristol, Molecular Motors and Photonic Force Microscopy.
