Joseph Corey, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Corey received his MD and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois (Urbana). For his doctoral research, he developed technologies to pattern cultured neurons into circuits. He also earned an MS in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University where he worked on neural prostheses. His researchs interests center on development and repair in the nervous system, as well as tissue engineering. Dr. Corey was awarded a Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award from the NIH.

Youssef Naim, BSE
Youssef Naim is a research engineer in the Department of Neurology. He earned a BSE in biomedical engineering from Lawrence Technological University in 2010. His research interests include biological and chemical modification of electrospun fibers, tissue engineering and 3D scaffolds.
