Alan is a retired Professional Engineer with a strong bent for early claims resolution.

He worked for large Canadian and American companies working mostly on construction claims.  

In San Diego, California, he worked for CH2M Hill on a $130M water treatment plant expansion.  He successfully negotiated closure on a problem contract and it surety company to the satisfaction of the City of San Diego.

In Las Vegas he was Construction Director on a $2B water program for the Southern Nevada Water Authority.  He set up claims management systems that allowed third party lawyers to negotiate closure on two problems contracts.

He demonstrated to Manitoba Hydro a variation of the Earned Value Method to avoid claims in the first instance.

More lately Alan works on a contingency basis on Landlord/Tenant disputes including recovering damages from non-performing property manager.

He is presently preparing a proposal to the Worker's Compensation Board to demonstrate a claims recovery process.
