Nanaimo Rowing Club

Our clubhouse is located on Long Lake in Nanaimo, BC, where we are able to train almost year-round.  Our members range in age from 12-75 years old.  We have a strong group of competitive junior rowers and a small but enthusiastic group of masters (that's anyone over 21 years old!).

The BC Summer Games are being held in Nanaimo, July 17-20th.  Rowing is one of the sports and volunteers are needed at the rowing events.  All volunteers must be registered with the games.  The Volunteer link can be found at:

Long Lake Community Boathouse -

We are working with the Nanaimo Canoe and Kayak Club to raise funds to build a new boathouse for rowing and paddling sports at Loudon Park, Long Lake, Nanaimo, BC.  The new boathouse will provide year round boat storage, training areas, public space and public washrooms.  All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.  To make an online donation click here.  For more information or questions email us at

Here is our current schedule...  

High school students - try rowing for 3 weeks, $90 introductory cost. Start anytime.

After school learn to row - for grade 7-12 will be held in May and June.  Cost is $60 for 6 sessions. See Learn to Row Juniors.

Adult on-water training - Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm, Thursday at 6:00 am, Sunday at 9:00 am
