Nanaimo Rowing Club

Our clubhouse is located on Long Lake in Nanaimo, BC, where we are able to train almost year-round.  Our members range in age from 12-75 years old.  We have a strong group of competitive junior rowers and a small but enthusiastic group of masters (that's anyone over 21 years old!).

Thank you to everyone for making our beer and burger/silent auction a success. We raised about $2500 towards the purchase of a new quad. Please check out the list of our generous sponsors.

Rowing finalists for Nanaimo Sport Achievement Awards
Congratulations to coach Craig Rutherford as a finalist for high performance coach of the year and to rower Meg Montgomery as a finalist for female junior individual athlete of the year. The awards banquet takes place on February 17.

Snow Policy - no school = no rowing.

Superstore Fundraiser - congratulations to all our juniors and parents. We raised $1134.80, with $133.20 going to the Superstore charity and the balance to NRC.

Boathouse at Long Lake

Together with the Nanaimo Canoe and Kayak Club we have formed the Long Lake Flatwater Training Centre Society  (LLFWTC) so we can jointly raise funds to build a new boathouse for rowing and paddling sports at Loudon Park, Long Lake, Nanaimo, BC.  With the support of the city we are taking a phased approach with the first priority for boat storage.

Any cash donations you make towards the cause in the amount of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.  To make an online donation click here.  For more information or questions email us at nanaimo.rowing@gmail.com
