Prayer Life

The whole life of the Church is upheld by prayer. In addition to prayer that forms part of our regular worship we have a designated prayer room, a prayer tree, a prayer board in the entrance to the church and a prayer box in the Wesley Concourse.

Room 3 on the Lower Ground Floor is set aside specifically as a prayer room where anyone may go who seeks a quiet space in which to pray. The room is open whenever the building is open and contains various aids to prayer.

The Prayer Tree can be activated for urgent needs by telephoning Marian, whose details are below.

The Prayer Board is in the foyer at the head of the stairs leading to the lower ground floor. The Prayer Box is on the counter in the Wesley Concourse. Cards and a pencil are provided in both places. Messages left on the Board or in the Prayer Box will be included in worship on the following Sunday.

When asking for prayer for specific people it is expected, where appropriate, that the permission of the person who is to be the subject of prayer has been obtained.

If you wish for someone to pray with you at morning service, members of the prayer team will be wearing yellow badges, or speak to the duty steward. At other times contact with either the Revd Deborah Mallett or Marian will ensure that your needs are met, either in your own residence or in the prayer room indicated above.
