August 1st is National Kid’s Day, so for today write something about a child, whether it’s a child you know, have seen, or maybe you as a child. Have fun!

The Lincoln penny was issued in the United States on August 2, 1909. In honor of this, write about coins, money, presidents, or rulers.

Columbus set sail on his first voyage August 3, 1492. Write about a trip or voyage.
