It's me Nafiz Imtiaz Bin Hamid. Currently I am working as an Assistant Professor  at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of  Islamic University of Technology (IUT) , Gazipur, Bangladesh. [A little more about Islamic University of Technology (IUT)]

Brief Bio:
I was born in Mymensingh a beautiful district near the capital of Bangladesh,Dhaka [more about Beautiful Bangladesh]. My home town is Gazipur. I passed my evergreen childhood in various parts of  Kishoreganj and Mymensingh district. Later on, I moved to the capital city Dhaka to join Ideal School and College one of the most prestigious high schools in the country. I topped the merit list in both primary(grade 5) and junior level (grade 8) Govt. scholarship respectively conducted by Ministry of Education, Bangladesh. After successfully finishing my secondary level of studies from Ideal School and College,I moved to Notre Dame College -undoubtedly one of the very best colleges for Science in Bangladesh, and completed my higher secondary level (Grade 12) successfully from there.
I completed my Bachelor of Science from IUT in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in November 2008.I worked on solving the handover, mobility and wireless resource wastage related problems of mobile WiMAX in my undergrad final year thesis under Mohammad Tawhid Kawser.
I launched my career in academia as a Lecturer in EEE Dept. of IUT in January 2009.Here I had to conduct theory and lab courses for undergrad students,assist final year thesis groups in their project works.I also worked in the organizing committee for workshop/short-course arranged by EEE,IUT as course-official along with some other academic-administrative tasks assigned by the university. I completed my Master of Science from here in 2011 under same supervisor. We worked on various radio access features of LTE along with preparation of LTE radio network planning guidelines.
I worked  as a Research Assistant in the Broadband Communication Research Lab of  Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada for Fall'2011. I worked on a research project there focusing  to build a  Wireless Sensor Network testbed for E-Health.I also completed T-PULSE  Graduate Teaching Workshop [certificate] organized by Faculty of Science, McGill University on January,2012.
Since September,2012 I have started working as an Assistant Professor in my alma mater university- IUT.

Research Interest:

I'm primarily interested in Wireless Communications and Networks. Specifically various challenging aspects of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) and Next Generation cellular networks  involving WiMAX, LTE 0r LTE-Advanced etc attract me most. I also find a great interest in Biomedical Engineering related problems like analysis and processing of biomedical signals, using the analyzed results in
medical technologies for the betterment of human being.
