The metal thrash gods are back with more ferocity, brutality, and horror. Their second album after reuniting with drummer Dave Lombardo on the drums (the first was Christ Illusion in 2006) is a dark, evil trip through the horrors of mankind.

Original Soundtrack to Abominable

Because the movie Abominable received mediocre reviews, the soundtrack has sadly been overlooked as well. This is a mistake. The original score by Lalo Schifrin is one of the smartest and most effective orchestral scores to a horror movie in years. Lalo Schifrin is of course one of the most respected and celebrated film and television music composers today. His theme to Mission: Impossible is iconic and his work on movies of the late 60s and early 70s like Bullitt and Dirty Harry changed the way scores were written. He helped break soundtracks away from Eurocentric classical influences and made jazz, as well as Afro-Brazilian music, acceptable to Hollywood.
